Welcome to the TEIL Lecture Series!

Are you an educator, lecturer or researcher interested in transformative education, education for sustainable development, global citizenship education, pedagogy of liberation, peace education or related fields?

Then join us at "Transformative Education Innovation Lab" (TEIL). TEIL is a peer-to-peer exchange format on higher education pedagogies in the field of transformative education for sustainable development. The aim is to inspire each other by sharing and experiencing transformative educational formats and methods that stimulate learners, foster agency, and really have an impact.

How it works

Each session focuses on one educational example, facilitated by a colleague or a small group. You will experience the approach as if you were a student in their classroom. Every session is interactive and based on experiential learning, with hands-on exercises, dialogue and exchange. You will reflect on transformative education and take new ideas back into your teaching.

Organisers

TEIL is organised by the University of Münster together with Université Côte d'Azur, MCI – The Entrepreneurial School and Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, and includes speakers from partner institutions including: FH Münster (University of Applied Sciences Münster) and Hochschule München (University of Applied Sciences München).

It is realised in collaboration with Ulysseus European University, the Ecoversities Network, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltigkeit an Hochschulen, the European School of Sustainability Science and Research, the COPERNICUS Alliance – European Network on Higher Education for Sustainable Development, Bündnis Nachhaltige Hochschulen Österreich and Humboldt Hoch N – the sustainability initiative of the universities in North Rhine-Westphalia.

TEIL is part of the Ulysseus Research & Innovation Groups TEd InnoLab, FUTURABILITIES ("Being Able to Create Sustainable Futures – Enhancing Futures Capabilities") and ARISE ("Advancing Research and Practice in International and Sustainability Education").
